Terms of Service
Last updated: June 20, 2026
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the FSTA Rent Car website, quote requests, booking requests, booking confirmation pages, payments, rental handovers, vehicle rentals, route support, cross-border support, camping equipment, yacht trips, helicopter tours, and related services. By using the website, submitting a booking request, paying for a booking, accepting a vehicle, or using any FSTA service, you agree to these Terms.
Any signed rental agreement, confirmed invoice, booking confirmation page, vehicle handover record, insurance selection, written cross-border document confirmation, and written message from us about your rental also forms part of your agreement with us. If there is a conflict, the more specific document for your booking applies, except where mandatory law says otherwise.
The rental provider is FSTA Rent Car, operating from 23 Paolo Iashvili St, Tbilisi 0105, Georgia.
2. Booking, Prices, and Confirmation
- Website prices, vehicle details, availability, pickup and drop-off service options, and add-ons may change until we confirm the booking.
- A booking request is not confirmed until we accept it and the required reservation payment has been received or another written confirmation method is agreed.
- The price shown or confirmed for your booking can include rental days, selected insurance, service fee, cross-border documents, equipment, child seats, yacht trip, helicopter tour, relocation, or other selected services.
- You must check the vehicle, dates, pickup and drop-off cities, times, route, insurance, add-ons, total price, and remaining balance before paying.
- If the requested vehicle becomes unavailable before confirmation, we may offer another vehicle, different dates, a different pickup or drop-off plan, or no booking.
3. Reservation Payments, Cancellations, and No-Shows
- We may require a payment to confirm your booking and reserve the vehicle for your dates.
- Because confirmed car rentals are reserved for a specific date or rental period, the reservation payment is non-refundable if you cancel, do not arrive, refuse the vehicle without a valid legal reason, provide invalid documents, are not eligible to drive, or fail to complete required pickup steps.
- If we cancel a confirmed booking because we cannot provide the vehicle or a suitable replacement, we will offer a replacement, credit, rescheduling, or refund of the amount paid for the unavailable service.
- Changing dates, pickup city, drop-off city, vehicle, border-country plan, or add-ons requires advance notice and is subject to availability. Extra charges may apply, and cross-border documents may need to be updated.
- No deposit hold is normally required. You remain responsible for charges, fines, damage, loss, missing items, penalties, and other amounts owed under these Terms.
4. Driver Requirements
- You must be at least 19 years old.
- You must have held a valid driving license for at least 1 year.
- You must bring your original driving license at pickup and provide license information or photos before pickup when requested.
- If your license uses Latin letters, you may use it directly where local law allows. If your license uses non-Latin characters, you must bring a valid International Driving Permit or official translation accepted in the countries you will drive in.
- Only drivers we approve may drive the vehicle. A free second driver may be included when that driver is identified and approved before driving.
- We may refuse handover if a driver appears impaired, does not meet the requirements, presents invalid documents, refuses required checks, or creates a safety or legal risk.
5. Pickup, Drop-Off, Handover, and Return
- Pickup and drop-off locations must be provided as exact Google Maps links unless we agree otherwise.
- You must provide exact pickup and drop-off times and clearly state AM or PM where needed.
- You must be reachable by WhatsApp or phone before and during handover. Delays, wrong locations, or unreachable customers may cause extra charges or cancellation.
- At handover, inspect the vehicle, fuel, documents, accessories, tires, glass, underbody where visible, and existing marks. Report any issue immediately with photos or video.
- You must inspect the vehicle yourself during the first 3 hours of the rental and contact us immediately with photos or videos if you notice a pre-existing issue. Later reports may be treated as new rental-period damage unless evidence shows otherwise.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed place, date, and time, with the same documents, keys, equipment, and accessories. Late return may be charged and may affect the next customer.
- The service fee covers washing, so you may return the car unwashed. You remain responsible for excessive dirt, smells, stains, damage, lost equipment, or cleaning beyond normal use.
6. Cross-Border Travel
Cross-border travel is available after we prepare the required vehicle permission documents for the countries in the booking before departure.
- You must provide passport and driving license information in time for us to prepare border documents.
- You must carry your passport, driving license, vehicle registration document, FSTA permission letter, and all border or road documents for the full trip.
- At each border, follow officer instructions, complete any road-document process before leaving the border area, and keep every issued document safe in the car.
- After crossing, you may need to buy mandatory local vehicle insurance from booths or providers near the border before driving farther. Driving without required local insurance can lead to large fines and is your responsibility.
- Unauthorized border crossings, travel to a country not included in the prepared cross-border documents, lost border documents, lost registration documents, or failure to buy mandatory local insurance may lead to fines, denied entry, vehicle impound, insurance denial, and customer responsibility for all resulting costs.
7. Off-Road, Mountain, and Weather Rules
High-Risk Routes
Abano Pass, Shatili, Ushguli, Vashlovani, remote mountain roads, unpaved roads, river crossings, snow, mud, landslides, and heavy rain can become dangerous quickly. You must check weather, daylight, road closures, and local warnings before driving.
- Do not drive off-road in rain, heavy mud, flooding, unsafe snow, closed roads, or dangerous visibility.
- We do not impose road restrictions. Never enter rivers, deep water, washed-out roads, cliff-edge tracks, or officially blocked roads.
- If weather changes, stop in a safe place and contact us for route advice.
- Recovery may be delayed or impossible in remote areas, bad weather, closed passes, or unsafe conditions.
- Damage, recovery, towing, accommodation, missed plans, or losses caused by ignoring weather, road closures, our instructions, local warnings, or these Terms are your responsibility.
8. Insurance and Customer Responsibility
The insurance or damage-responsibility option selected at booking applies only within its stated limits and only when you follow these Terms, the rental agreement, the law, police instructions, and our instructions.
Standard Insurance
- Standard Insurance is for paved-road trips only.
- It may cover paved-road damage or theft with EUR 0 responsibility when all rules are followed.
- Off-road damage is not covered under Standard Insurance. Your responsibility for off-road damage can reach EUR 5,000 or the actual loss if higher where law allows.
Full off-road insurance
- Full off-road insurance is designed for paved and off-road driving. We have no road restrictions in our rental terms.
- It can include tires, glass, underbody, and scratches with EUR 0 responsibility for covered damage when all rules are followed.
- Full off-road insurance does not cover reckless driving, prohibited use, drunk or drug-impaired driving, speeding, unauthorized drivers, illegal activity, intentional damage, driving after a serious warning, moving the car after an accident without approval, failure to obtain police documents where required, rainy-weather off-road damage, water damage, lost keys, missing documents, fines, incorrect fuel, unsafe parking damage, or damage caused by ignoring our instructions.
Mandatory Accident and Problem Rules
- In any accident, do not move the vehicle from the exact accident position until the police and our team give instructions. Moving the vehicle can void coverage.
- Immediately call us and, where required, police or emergency services.
- Do not repair, tow, jump-start, modify, attach, connect equipment to, or move the vehicle without our approval unless emergency law or safety requires it.
- Take photos and videos, collect police or incident documents where required, and cooperate with insurance, police, repair, and claim processes.
- If you fail to follow these rules, insurance may not apply and you may be responsible for the full loss, recovery cost, downtime, legal costs, and related expenses.
9. Prohibited Use
You must not let anyone who is not listed as an authorized driver use the vehicle, or permit unlicensed, underage, suspended, alcohol-impaired, or drug-impaired driving; racing; speed testing; drifting; towing; pushing; overloading; commercial transport; paid passenger transport; delivery work; sub-rental; illegal activity; unauthorized border crossing; entry into areas closed by authorities or private owners; beaches; salt flats; deep water; officially closed roads; unsafe snow; rain-soaked off-road tracks; smoking; animals without written approval; or any use that causes abnormal dirt, smells, wear, or damage.
10. Fines, Tolls, Keys, Documents, Fuel, Parking, and Equipment
- You are responsible for traffic fines, parking fines, tolls, border fines, impound fees, local insurance penalties, road-document penalties, police penalties, and administrative costs caused during your rental.
- A lost or damaged key costs EUR 200 plus delivery, recovery, programming, towing, accommodation, or downtime costs if they apply.
- If a vehicle registration plate is lost during the rental, you must report it immediately to the police and us, follow the police process, and pay us a EUR 500 charge.
- Lost vehicle registration, border permission, road documents, or local insurance documents may create large fines and replacement costs. If loss or failure to collect required documents causes a fine, seizure, delay, or claim, you are responsible.
- You must use the correct fuel for the vehicle. If petrol is put in a diesel vehicle, diesel is put in a petrol vehicle, or another incorrect fuel is used, a EUR 2,000 customer responsibility charge applies. Please contact us before refueling if you are unsure.
- You must park the vehicle legally and safely. If the vehicle is damaged because it was left in an unsafe or irresponsible parking place, a EUR 1,000 customer responsibility charge applies. Official parking fines, towing, impound, or administrative costs remain your responsibility when they are caused during your rental.
- Camping equipment, child seats, roof tents, ground tents, tools, documents, and accessories must be returned in the same condition, except normal wear. Missing or damaged items are charged at repair or replacement cost.
11. Breakdowns and Assistance
- We provide direct support during your rental. Contact us immediately at +995 558 43 29 29 if a warning light, noise, accident, stuck vehicle, flat tire, breakdown, border issue, police issue, or other problem occurs.
- We will handle mechanical failures not caused by the renter at no extra repair cost to you, and we will try to arrange assistance or a replacement vehicle as reasonably possible.
- Replacement timing depends on location, border status, road safety, weather, parts, vehicle availability, and whether the issue was caused by misuse, accident, off-road conditions, or rule breach.
- Do not continue driving if doing so may increase damage or risk. Continuing after a warning or after we tell you to stop may make you responsible for the resulting damage.
12. Add-On Services
Child seats, roof tents, ground tents, camping equipment, cross-border documents, yacht trips, helicopter tours, and other add-ons are subject to availability, weather, safety, operator scheduling, and written confirmation. Add-on fees may be non-refundable after preparation, operator booking, document preparation, or confirmed scheduling begins, unless mandatory law requires otherwise or we cannot provide the service and no reasonable replacement is accepted.
13. Customer Promises
You promise that all information you provide is true, complete, and current; that you will comply with traffic laws and local rules in every country you drive in; that you will use the vehicle carefully; that you will protect the keys, documents, and equipment; and that you will pay all amounts owed under these Terms and your booking.
14. Website Content and Availability
Travel guides, road notes, prices, routes, availability, maps, and service descriptions on the website are provided for planning and can change. Road conditions, border rules, visas, fuel availability, local insurance, weather, and official restrictions can change without notice. You are responsible for checking current official requirements for your nationality, route, passengers, luggage, and travel dates.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or injury where the law does not allow exclusion.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, including lost travel plans, lost profit, lost time, missed flights, missed hotels, missed tours, loss of enjoyment, lost data, or third-party costs, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Our responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service, except where mandatory law requires a higher amount.
16. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delay, cancellation, route change, vehicle unavailability, support delay, or service failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, road closure, landslide, flood, snow, fire, accident, border closure, war, civil unrest, strike, airport disruption, government action, police action, supplier failure, internet outage, payment outage, or other emergency.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and our services are governed by the laws of Georgia, except where mandatory consumer or data protection laws apply regardless of this choice. Courts in Tbilisi, Georgia have jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory law gives you another non-waivable right.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly and quickly.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies from the listed "Last updated" date. For an already confirmed rental, the version accepted or confirmed for that booking applies unless a change is required by law or agreed in writing.
