Barkuriani is one of the biggest Daba and Ski resort in Georgia. For 2023 Bakuriani got chance to be host of the 2023 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships. This will mark first ever world championships to be ever held in Georgia. FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championship features 30 medal events 16 contested in Freestyle skiing and 14 contested in snowboarding.
